First sole year, spring 2023

For days the rain has poured to the point it was unpleasant to leave the house.

But this morning the sun has made an appearance.

For any budding gardener the spring is a time of excitement and new life.

From early bulbs popping up to say hello, with there bright colours that just make you smile.

To the loud chirps of birds collecting and greeting each other after the hard winter.

But, for me a time to enjoy planting, watching, and caring for the new crops to come.

Any gardener will tell you there is a lot of sitting, thinking, and drinking tea involved in getting it right.

So, for now I’m drinking, thinking and waiting and asking myself

‘Will we get a frost or not?

Defiantly the hardest decision of the year and heart breaking if you get it wrong.

So, for now the over grown veggies remain under cover encouraging me to be brave.

But today is not the right day.

Remember you may not feel strong but you are.
